Maintenance of Water Jet Loom

In order to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the water jet loom, proper maintenance is very important. If proper maintenance is completed, the failure of the loom can be minimized. Maintenance, inspection and lubrication must be done regularly to prevent trouble during operation. In order to achieve quality, high productivity and high power and durability.

  1. Maintenance must be done in accordance with the manual.

  2. Determine that the supply of consumables can continue until the weaving is completed.

  3. The inspection must be done correctly.

  4. The problematic part needs to be carefully examined.


Tested item

A), Routine inspection

1. Abnormal noise

Check the main motor, the ear wire of the left and right wall, the opening part, and so on.

2. Heat element

Check the red hot state, the length of the burrs, the length of the residual wire end treatment, and the position of the left scissors and the reed protector.

3. Wire end treatment

Check that the rotation of the package is normal and check the tension and wear of the package belt.

4. Mechanical scissors

Check that the yarn is cut correctly and check the sharpness and momentum of the scissors.

5. Loss of ear wire

Check that the left and right ear wires are perfectly formed and check the time of the leno and scissors.

6. Vertical rod

Check the function of the vertical rod and check the sliding condition of the stepless speed changer, transmission rod, V-belt and worm gear.

7. Silk end treatment

Check the unprocessed part.

Check the cause that cannot be handled, check whether the scale on the weave is stained with the nozzle, whether the direction of the nozzle is appropriate, whether the function of the stabilizer is normal, and whether the magnetic guide is in the correct position.

B), Weekly inspection

1. Check for wrinkles, check brakes and pressure rollers when rolling.

2. Pump cam

     Add butter to the surface of the pump cam.

3. Length measurement

     Check the sizing solution for any other objects such as residue and stain the disc.

4. Heald frame and steel truss

     Check if the sizing solution and the butter are stained with the heald frame and the steel shovel and wash them off with a detergent.

5. Main brake

     Check that the loom is parked in the pre-set position. If it does not stop properly, you must check for any butter and foreign particles on the main brake and damage to the brakes.


C), Inspection after weaving

1. Pump cam

     Check the control time of the cam speed when the loom is manually rotated.

2. Pump stroke

     Check whether the stroke of the weaving machine is standard when it is manually rotated.

3. Spring pressure

     Use the strobe light meter to check the flight time of the weft yarn when the loom is running.

4. Length measurement pressure

     When turning the loom by hand, check the timing of the length measuring device. Check that the length measuring disc is correctly opened.

5. Nozzle

     Check for yarn marks on the cloth and check the yarn guide if available.

     Check the stabilizer for wear and tear if necessary. If there is phosphorous on the nozzle, wash it off with detergent.

     Check that the nozzle is properly opened and check the direction of the spray when the loom is running.

6. Probe

     Check the gap between the probe and the water surface to remove the phosphorous hair, rust and foreign matter; check the scratches and broken parts, check the wear of the probe rope; check whether the probe is safe.

     Check the probe head and cable.

7. Pressure wheel

     Check the surface of the wheel. If it is necessary to grind the surface, check if the rotation of the wheel is smooth. If not, check the bearing to remove the dust.

8. Feed roller

     Check if the rotation of the feed roller is normal and check if the bearing and the tire are not uniform;

     Make sure the yarn does not stick to the feed roller.

9. Feeding board

     Check the feed plate for scratches or cracks.

10. Main motor side V-belt

      Check durability and tensile strength.

11. V-belt

      Check durability and tensile strength

12. Flat belt for length measurement

      Check the sliding condition after the V-belt oil.

13. Package belt

      Check durability and tensile strength

14. Giving a yarn box

      Check the direction of each box.

15. Heat element

      Check for scratches, abrasions and phosphorous on the thermal element; check the outer skin of the heating cable for damage and replace the outer skin if available.

16. Mechanical scissors

      Check the cam and the ball, check if the scissors blade is sharp, and check the timing device.

17. Scissor aid

      Check for yarn marks and scratches on the scissors aid.

18. Steel tamper protector

      Check for yarn marks and scratches on the steel tamper protector.

19. Edge holder

      Check that the rotation of the edger is smooth. Remove the dust from the yarn and sizing. Check if the pin is bent. If it is, change the ring and replace the old rubber roller.

20. Wire end treatment

      Remove the phosphor hair from the sensor

21. Ear wire

      Check the timing device, check the position of the proximity switch, replace the old bobbin shaft with a new one, and replace the old bevel gear.


D), Cleaning after weaving

1. Length measurement

     Clean the cam and balloon controller to remove the monomer

2. Water supply part

     Clean the floating drum and filter to remove phosphorous, rust, yarn and dust.

3. Part of water movement

     Clean the suction pipe, remove the phosphorous monomer and the yarn dust, and clean the water separator.

4. Coiling part

     Remove the dust from each roller.

5. Yarn supply part

     The yarn guide and the tensioner are arranged to remove the monomer.

6. Blower

     Clean blower motor and filter

7. Other

     Clean the side oil pan, the lower oil pan, the heald frame, the steel stern, the swinging pipe, etc. to remove the dust.

E), Lubrication after weaving

     Add butter to grease fittings, lubrication holes, sliding surfaces, universal contacts, springs, etc.

F), Semi-annual inspection

1. Pump

     Check the wear of the air compressor and the piston. If the total water volume is 5% or more, the pump must be replaced.

2. Seat

     Check the wear on the seat, if the momentum of the ball exceeds 0.9 mm or if the jetting time of the water is observed with a strobe light meter is irregular, it is more than 30 mm.

3. Brake

     Adjustment bolt

4. Rolling strips

     Check for wear on the take-up strips.

5. Take-up belt

     Check the wear on the take-up belt to check for dust, phosphorous, oil, etc. These must be removed with iron brush, thinner, gauze, etc.

6. Heald frame

     Check the wear of the magnetic frame of the heald frame. The horizontal clearance must be within 1mm.

7. Heald frame

     Check the hooks, shackles, rod tailstocks, heald rods, open rods, bushings, etc. in the middle, and replace them if they are worn.

8. Belt

     Check the timing of the belt, handle the belt at the wire end, etc.


G), Three years of maintenance and inspection

1. Motor

     Replace the bearing of the main motor

2. Blowing motor

     Replace the bearing of the blower motor

H), Five years of maintenance and inspection

1. Thorough inspection

    Thoroughly inspect all bearings, oil seals, gears, cams, bushings and pins.

2. Inspection of electrical parts

     Check the cable and conductor connections.
